EGB Vacuum Ltd have modernised many Vacuum Furnace and EB Welder installations to improve performance, meet new quality and operational protocols, or simply extend the machine’s working life.

Control and data management systems

The “Microlink” HMI controller is available as an upgrade module, including PC, PLC and software. In most cases we can bring the unit as a finished item to install on site. Microlink greatly enhances the visibility of the furnace or EBW process, simplifies operation and data management, and allows on line troubleshooting and support from our base.

Aids for nadcap survey

To complete the package of high level process control, we supply supporting software and hardware to assist compliance with nadcap procedures including TUS and scheduled thermocouple replacement. Our solutions are software based; they can be interfaced via the Microlink HMI to provide information on screen, and networked to export reports and data as a csv file.

Refurbishment and rebuilding

Well designed furnaces and EBW installations continue to give good service after decades in production. From small modifications to a total rebuild, we provide solutions to the decline and obsolescence of ageing plant. Very significant savings can be made compared to replacement with new.
