Customer Support Excellence

EGB’s managers and field engineers have spent their working lives in direct customer support roles. We have the knowledge and resources to ensure your Vacuum Furnaces and EB Welders are kept in excellent working order.

Many of our customer relationships are long term and include preventative maintenance contracts. More recently, technology has enabled us to convert existing installations for on line diagnostics and troubleshooting, speeding repair and reducing costs.

Spares and consumables

EGB stocks the key components and materials required to support vacuum furnaces and electron beam machines, including metal and graphite hot zone items, thermocouples, vacuum oils and pumpsets, high voltage transformers, high voltage diodes and capacitors. Parts are dispatched or brought to site by our engineer; large repairs and fabrication are carried out at our workshop.

EGB Vacuum Ltd - Services
Emergency Call-out Service

We react quickly to equipment breakdowns. We aim to be on site within 24 hours anywhere in the UK and within 36 hours in mainland Europe.

Internet and phone diagnostics

We now provide on line fault diagnosis on installations that we have fitted with HMI and webcam; this has proved valuable particularly with our overseas customers, avoiding unnecessary service visits. EGB will also assist with free advice via telephone or email before customers commit to the expense of a call out.

Contract maintenance

Preventative maintenance is a speciality; we have a highly developed set of schedules tailored to customers’ equipment and operations. Typically we make 2 or 3 visits annually. We report on the status of the plant and, if appropriate, recommend design changes to improve reliability and capability. Over time we expect to raise the performance and productivity of your installations.
